Properties that have been shared to you by other agents can be retrieved by clicking on the drop-down menu to the side of the 'X-change' button and selecting 'Retrieve shared property data'.
Click on 'Yes' when prompted. The Editor will then start downloading any property details that have been shared to you.
If properties have been shared to you by an agent who is not already on your guest list, you will be asked if you wish to add them. If you say yes, after data has been imported they will appear in your guest folder with a default sharing level of 'None'.
Once the download is complete, a box listing the new properties shared to you will appear. Click on 'Import' to save the property details into the Guests section of the Editor.
Properties shared to you will appear in the 'Received Properties' list of the corresponding agent.
At this stage, these details are read only. They will not appear on your company's online property list at www.findaproperty.com, and you will not be billed for them.
If you open the property details box for a guest property, you will see that the 'OK' button has been replaced by a 'Take Ownership' button.
Clicking on 'Take Ownership' will remove the property from the Guest folder and add it to the main property list.
It will be displayed on www.findaproperty.com with your own company's contact details after the next time you publish, and will count towards your total number of properties for the purposes of billing. It is now in effect a completely separate advert from the original, and may be edited or removed without affecting the guest agent's advert for the same property.
